The second Munich New Space Summit will take place in October! The summit’s program covers all the topics currently affecting the New Space community. Panel discussions, pitching sessions and keynote speeches are the focus of the event. But of course there will also be plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas and make new contacts, be it at the state reception in the Residenz or at the New Space Night with live music.
What to expect at the Munich New Space Summit 2024:
Day 1: From Lab to Orbit to Earth
The first day focuses on technology transfer within the new space sector, featuring discussions on Europe’s competitive edge in space, strategies for strengthening leadership in the new space era, and the crucial role of science and research in advancing space technologies. The day includes keynotes and panels with representatives from European space agencies and industry leaders.
Day 2: The New Space “Econosphere”
The second day bridges space and non-space industries, addressing the relevance of space for military use and the security of Europe’s positioning, navigation, and timing systems. Discussions also cover secure connectivity solutions, the importance of public-private partnerships, and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture in the space industry.
Day 3: Shaping Europe`s New Space Era
The final day examines strategies, legal frameworks, and emerging threats in the new space era. Panels focus on the evolution of European space laws, the state of the space insurance market, and new space threats to Europe. The day aims to outline actionable steps for Europe to maintain a competitive edge in the global space industry.
